Each scarf is sourced directly from artisan workshops in Damascus, one of the last cities where this tradition is still practiced on traditional looms by skilled hands.

Design
Damascene brocade is woven on traditional jacquard looms, the pattern raised directly from the weave structure rather than embroidered onto the surface. The design is built into the cloth itself by interlocking threads of silk that create a textured, relief-like motif with a natural luster that shifts with the light and deepens with movement.
This is what separates genuine woven brocade from printed or embroidered imitations: the pattern is inseparable from the fabric, not applied to it.
